Structure Composition

Spreader Part

Rotating Hanger & Fixed FrameThe main structure of the spreader adopts a fully enclosed steel structure, consisting of a rotating hanger and a fixed frame. They are tightly connected to provide stable support for the entire spreader.

Telescopic BeamThe telescopic beam can slide in the two “Ⅲ”-shaped beams of the fixed frame. The telescopic movement is driven by a gear motor through chain drive. When the beam reaches the 20ft or 40ft position, the limit switch sends a signal and cuts off the power to the gear motor, stopping the telescopic motion.

Rotating MechanismThe rotation is achieved by a gear motor driving a pinion and slewing bearing. Two sets of drive mechanisms are installed on each spreader; even if one set fails, the other can ensure normal rotation.

Opening & Locking DeviceThe four rotating pins adopt a floating design. The lock pins act on concave spherical bearing surfaces with spherical surfaces, allowing swinging within a certain range and enabling accurate insertion into container lifting holes. Two gear motors on the spreader end beams drive the pins to rotate 90°, with various proximity switches to detect locking and unlocking status.

Offset Load Prevention DeviceAnti-offset load sensors are installed at the four corners of the spreader, which measure the actual container weight, transmit data to the instrument, and calculate the center-of-gravity deviation.

Guide Plate DeviceEquipped with fixed guide plates and automatic flap structures to ensure accurate alignment between the spreader and container, allowing lock pins to insert smoothly.

Electrical Control SystemWiring for all electrical equipment and controlled components is routed through a stainless steel junction box, connected to the vertical cable via special multi-core aviation plugs for easy spreader replacement.

Hook Part

Usually adopts a forged hook body with excellent forging performance and surface shot blasting to improve strength and corrosion resistance. It is equipped with an anti-unhooking device inside to ensure safe lifting and prevent accidental release.

Technical Parameters

  • Lifting Capacity: Generally 35–45 tons, suitable for standard 20ft and 40ft containers. The rated lifting capacity of this dual-purpose container spreader & hook is 40.5 tons.
  • Hoisting Speed: Normally 0–30m/min, adjustable according to working conditions and crane configuration (e.g., 12m/min at full load, 18m/min at no load).
  • Rotating Speed: Freely selectable within 0.5–2 r/min.
  • Telescopic Time: Approximately 30 seconds for fast telescopic adjustment.
  • Lifting Height: Generally 10–30 meters to meet different site and stacking requirements.
