Product Description

General Gantry Crane (GB/T 14406)General Gantry Crane (GB/T 14406) is a heavy-duty lifting equipment widely used in open yards, warehouses, ports, railway stations and other sites. It features large span, wide lifting capacity range and flexible operation.Its lifting attachment can be a hook, grab, lifting electromagnet (magnetic chuck), or a combination of two or three of them.The crane consists of gantry structure, trolley, traveling mechanism, electrical control system, windproof device, ladders and platforms, etc.

1. Main Technical Parameters

1.1 Lifting Capacity

  • Standard range: 5~500 tons (larger capacities can be customized upon request).
  • Designed with main hook (main hoist) and auxiliary hook (auxiliary hoist) to adapt to complex working conditions.

1.2 Span (L)

Generally 10~40 meters. Mid-span or cantilever design can extend the working range.

1.3 Lifting Height (H)

  • Standard height: 6~30 meters (adjustable according to spreader type).
  • Higher lifting height is available for special requirements.

1.4 Duty Class

Divided into Class A1~A8 based on working frequency and load conditions(Class A3 for general handling; Class A6/A7 for frequent heavy-duty operation).

1.5 Operating Speed

  • Crane traveling speed: 20~40 m/min (variable frequency drive for smooth start and stop).
  • Trolley traveling speed: 10~30 m/min.
  • Hoisting speed: 1~15 m/min (low speed for heavy load, high speed for light load).

2. Operation & Control

2.1 Operation Modes

  • Cabin control: Equipped with console or touch screen, wide field of vision, suitable for long-time operation.
  • Ground remote control: Operated by wireless remote controller, flexible and safe, ideal for hazardous or complex environments.
  • Automatic control: PLC and sensors can be integrated to achieve precise positioning and automatic obstacle avoidance.

Power Supply: Powered by conductor bar or cable reel, adaptable to different site layouts.

3. Safety Protection Devices

3.1 Multiple Limit Protection

Lifting height limiter, travel limiter, anti-collision device.

3.2 Overload Protection

Overload sensor monitors load in real time and automatically cuts off operation in case of overload.

3.3 Windproof & Anti-Slip System

Rail clamps, anchoring devices, wind speed alarm (adapted to strong wind in open-air conditions).

3.4 Emergency Stop

One-key emergency stop button ensures quick response in case of emergency.
